Addressing the diverse needs of your employees

Schwab designs specific programs to effectively reach and motivate participants of various ages, educational backgrounds, learning styles and languages.

Making it personal and relevant.

While all Schwab education shares a common foundation of time-proven investing principles, we work to make your program personal, meaningful and actionable for each individual or group of individuals we address.

Options for every learning style.

Some employees feel comfortable in seminars with their peers, while others prefer learning at their own pace on the web. Still others may need personal, one-on-one assistance. The program we develop for your employees can leverage multiple channels to accommodate these different learning styles, and many are available in both English and Spanish.

Multiple channels offer greater choice.

As we develop your program, our solution can include:

  • One of the broadest seminar curriculums offered by any plan provider—all taught by experienced, licensed education professionals
  • One-on-one support from licensed representatives may be available following on-site presentations
  • Live, online virtual meetings of our seminars
  • Online tutorial courses that are informative and engaging—for novice and experienced investors alike
  • A wealth of planning and investing tools, special education materials, newsletters and interactive CDs
  • Personal assistance with financial and investment needs outside of retirement plans in Schwab Investor Centers nationwide

Schwab advice services help give participants confidence.

In response to the growing need for personal, one-on-one investing guidance, we offer a 401(k) participant advice service through GuidedChoice™,1 an independent investment adviser. Our Schwab Advice Service Representatives2 are on call to help your participants access this service and explain the advice. Available to your company at no extra cost,3 this advice service can be seamlessly integrated into your education program to provide the personal reassurance and support so many participants want.

Incorporating personal advice into your program offers participants these important advantages:

  • Specific plan investment recommendations
  • Access by phone or online as often as participants wish

One in four Americans worries about having enough money to retire. Personal advice services help build confidence.

1 The GuidedChoice service and the investment advice are formulated and provided by GuidedChoice Asset Management, Inc. ("GuidedChoice"). GuidedChoice is not affiliated with, nor is it an employee or agent of, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. ("CS&Co.") or Schwab Retirement Plan Services, Inc. ("SRPS"). The GuidedChoice service is available to participants enrolled in plans that use the recordkeeping and related services of SRPS. Availability is subject to regulatory requirements. Plan sponsors must elect to make the GuidedChoice service available. Certain types of plans and plan provisions may limit availability of advice services. Participant access to the GuidedChoice service is facilitated through SRPS's affiliate, CS&Co. Neither CS&Co. nor SRPS supervises, makes recommendations with respect to, or takes responsibility for monitoring the advice provided to participants by GuidedChoice. These entities are affiliates of each other and are wholly owned subsidiaries of The Charles Schwab Corporation.

2 The Schwab Advice Service Representatives are employees of CS&Co. and not of GuidedChoice. CS&Co., its Advice Services Representatives and SRPS do not supervise, make recommendations with respect to or take responsibility for monitoring the advice provided to participants by GuidedChoice and do not provide financial planning services to participants.

3 "At no extra cost" means that there is no cost for service outside the standard fees paid to SRPS and CS&Co. for recordkeeping and related services of SRPS.
